New high efficeincy air conditioners provide up to 30 times better dehumidification, use up to 50% less electricity and have sound levels lower than 70dBa. That’s about the same as a high end refrigerator.
So this year be cooler, more efficient and quieter than your neighbors.
You could also qualify for up to a $1500 stimilus tax credit when purchasing qualified high efficiency air conditioners. Go green with the new Puron refrigerant as well.

A few days ago one of our customers who happens to be a physics professor called to discuss an idea he had to capture the heat in his attic to supplement his boiler heat. His idea was to add a heat pump (reversible air conditioner) in the attic. After discussing what DX to water heat exchangers and controls would be necessary, we determined that the limited air volume available in an attic would cool down so quickly that their isn’t much heat we could capture. So while this is theoretically possible it is not practical with today’s technologies. Does anyone have an idea that might work?

I know, it seems like Spring in Chicago is on vacation somewhere else. Then one day you wake up and suddenly it’s like a scorching, 4th of July Summer day. And the only one more freaked out than you is your Air Conditioner, because someone forgot to schedule a simple maintenance call to All Temp. Do it now before your home becomes blazing hot and your A/C isn’t working right. Anyway…here are Chicago’s high temps you can look forward to…followed by the daily percentage of sun beating down on your roof. Stay cool, my friends.
Chicago High Temp Average
May 69.9°F
Jun 79.2°F
Jul 83.5°F
Aug 81.2°F
Sunshine Hours
May 58%
Jun 67%
Jul 66%
Aug 62%
Any questions?

It is a good idea to change your air filter every 30 to 60 days during the season (heating or cooling), more if you run your blower on “constant fan”. Dirty air filters reduce airflow and result in less comfort and higher operating costs. Worse, the reduced airflow is a primary cause of equipment failure. Inadequate airflow can cause stress that will crack a heat exchanger in the heating season and can create pressures that cause compressor failure in the cooling season.

Your new humidifer now has an outdoor sensor to allow you to set your level of humidity and it will maintain that level without you constantly adjusing the dial. That equals more comfort and convenience.

What is ductless cooling? Ductless mini split cooling systems do not require conventional ductwork to add cooling to a home or other type of space such as office computer rooms. Ductless cooling is ideal for spaces that are architecturally difficult to cool using conventional ductwork because of space restrictions, architectural restrictions, aesthetic considerations. Some of these systems may qualify for the Obama stimulus tax credit up to $1500. Ductless heat pump systems are also available to both heat and cool.
Some of these systems are the very most efficient availabe. Go Green and save electricity.
