Freon Phase Out Underway
The refrigerant known as R-22 (Freon) used in many A/C systems will be history as mandated by the government. Unhealthy and a destroyer of the environment, after January 2010 no new R-22 equipment can be manufactured. By 2015, there will be a forced 90% reduction in its use. Soon after, all production will stop. Besides the harsh environmental impact, the cost of Freon has become so expensive, it actually may cost you less to replace your current air unit with a new unit. Safe Puron has replaced Freon in all Bryant A/C systems and those by other leading manufacturers. Learn more. Ask All Temp.

About Energy Efficiency
In the early ‘90s, the Department of Energy established strict guidelines that all new furnaces need to convert 78% of fuel to energy. At the time, 60% fuel-to-heat energy conversion rates were common. Since then, manufacturers such as Bryant and others have met these requirements and even exceeded them. All Temp carries furnaces with energy conversions rates surpassing 96%. 78% to 89.9% conversion rates are termed mid-efficiency furnaces, and higher than 90% conversion rates are termed high-efficiency furnaces.
Programmable Electronic Thermostats
A programmable electronic thermostat provides automated control for the heating of your home. It automatically reduces the heat during night-time hours when your family is asleep, and during the day when you are at work. It can raise the temperature in the hour before you wake-up or return from work. By installing and using a programmable thermostat you can significantly save on heating and A/C utility bills.

Why Humidify?
Dry indoor air is a major cause of respiratory infections, nose bleeds and repeated episodes of winter colds. A lack of moisture can prevent your immune system from repelling infection-causing germs, and can actually promote the growth of some bacteria, viruses, and respiratory irritants. Your skin needs proper moisture too. By adding a humidifier to your furnace, you will add comfort throughout your entire home. Dry air also harms plants, paintings, moldings and wallpaper. It can cause warping and splitting of furniture, woodwork and hardwood floors, too. Plus annoying static electricity. And all of this can be easily avoided for the smallest of investments. The newer automatic humidifiers with digital readouts are perhaps the most effective. We recommend Bryant, Aprilaire and other proven humidifiers like the Honeywell TrueSteam humidifier for our customers. Learn more. Visit the "Air Quality & Comfort" section of this web site. Purify Your Indoor Air
New, patented germicidal technology now captures and kills airborne pathogens such as bacteria, viruses and mold in your home. One of the most effective products on the market today is the Perfect Air Air Purification System by Bryant–which removes allergens and dust particles from the air increasing the indoor air quality of your home and the comfort of your family. Many studies reveal that using such an air purifier can result in over 50% less dust in the air, and 95% less bacteria in the air. Allergens, dust particles and cigarette smoke (to name a few) contaminate the air we breath causing an increase in allergies and respiratory irritations. Purifying your indoor air can significantly decrease these effects. Ask All Temp about the best purifying system for your home.
